Portland State Athletics has 54 student-athletes from its fall sports programs that have earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors. The league released the fall sports list today featuring men's and women's cross country, football, soccer and volleyball.
 
Twenty-one members of the football team earned honors, while 11 in the soccer team, nine on the volleyball team and 13 among the cross country teams were named Academic All-Big Sky. Thirty-nine of the student-athletes had grade point averages of 3.50 or higher and four had perfect 4.0 GPAs.
 
Women's Cross Country had the highest team GPA among the fall sports at 3.69. Portland State's overall student-athlete GPA among 15 sports was 3.30.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution. For cross country student-athletes, they must have participated in at least half of the team's competitions or competed at the conference championship.
