Portland State Women's Golf and Women's Track and Field can boast the best team grade point averages in their respective sports in the Big Sky Conference for 2022-23. Those results were released today by the league in the Big Sky's inaugural Team Academic Championships.
 
PSU's women's golf team combined for a team GPA of 3.88 over the academic year as all six members earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors. The women's track and field team had combined for a team GPA of 3.72 over 2022-23. Nineteen members of that team earned Academic All-Big Sky honors.
 
Those honors were part of another strong academic year for Portland State student-athletes. PSU's combined GPA for all sports for the year was 3.24 and there were a total of 149 Academic All-Big Sky Conference honors among PSU's 15 sports. Thirty-seven student-athletes had 4.0 GPAs, some 55 were on either the President's List or the Dean's List, and PSU Athletics had 79 graduates.
