Portland State Athletics and OnPoint Community Credit Union have signed a three-year agreement to continue their partnership and OnPoint's role as the Official Financial Institution of PSU Athletics. Building on its longstanding commitment to education by supporting the students, schools, and educators OnPoint has been a sponsor of Viking Athletics since 2018.
 
"OnPoint Community Credit Union has been a tremendous supporter of Viking Athletics for six years," said Interim Director of Athletic Matt Billings. "They help provide opportunities for our student-athletes and our community. We are grateful for their ongoing sponsorship."
 
Under the continued agreement, OnPoint will:

• Remain the Official Financial Institution of PSU Athletics
• Remain the title sponsors for PSU football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball
• Continue its "Let's Sack Hunger" and "Let's Block Hunger" promotions for PSU football and basketball. Through these promotions, OnPoint gives a donation to a local nonprofit for each sack made by PSU during football games, and every block made during basketball games
• Remain the presenting sponsor of the Vikings podcast

In 2023, the credit union's participation in the "Let's Sack Hunger" and "Let's Block Hunger" OnPoint pledged $10 for each shot blocked by the basketball teams and $50 for each sack in football, resulting in a $5,000 donation to PSU's Food Pantry to purchase fresh produce and protein-rich foods for approximately 1,400 students.
 
In 2020, OnPoint also provided a $10,000 matching grant for the Viks vs. Hunger program to help the PSU's Food Pantry provide meals for students facing food insecurity during the pandemic. OnPoint's support allowed PSU's Food Pantry to double its food purchases and serve more than 200,000 meals that winter.

OnPoint has also been the sponsor of the Viking Podcast since 2020, and hosts an ATM at the Viking Pavilion.
