Portland State Athletics had 70 student-athletes recognized as Academic All-Big Sky Conference honorees for spring sports as released by the league today. The women's golf team led the entire department with a 3.95 GPA over spring term. All other spring sports were over a 3.4 team GPA between women's tennis (3.89), men's tennis (3.82), softball (3.62) and men's (3.41) and women's (3.59) outdoor track & field.
 
The Vikings' 70 academic all-conference honorees join 58 in the fall and 39 in the winter, giving the department 167 total honorees over what was a standout 2025-26 school year in the classroom. All student-athletes combined for a 3.44 GPA over the course of the year -- a program record. Every team in the department finished the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
 
To be eligible for academic All-Big Sky Conference honors for fall sports, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution. For track & field student-athletes, they must have participated in at least half of the team's competitions or competed at the conference championship. Softball pitchers can be considered for the award if they competed in at least 30 percent of their institution's games.
