2026 INDOOR:
Shaved a tenth of a second off his personal best in the 60 meters with a time of 7.37 seconds at the GFU Indoor #2 (2/21)...Won his heat of the 300 meters in 38.22 seconds at the Portland Indoor 2 (2/8)...Opened his season with a personal best in the indoor 200, finishing in 23.93 seconds at the Portland Indoor 1 (1/25).
2025 OUTDOOR:
Shaved a quarter of a second off his personal best in the 100 meters while finishing in 11.32 seconds at the Pac-12 Open (5/10)...Dipped under 23 seconds in the 200 meters for the first time at the OSU High Performance meet (5/2-3), finishing in 22.91 seconds...Set personal bests in the 100 (11.57) and 200 (23.14) meters at the L&C Larry Byerly Invitational (4/18-19)...Set a new personal best in the 200 meters while finishing in 23.41 seconds at the John Knight Twilight (4/11-12)...Ran the 200 (23.47) and 400 (52.58) meters at the L&C Electric Forest Opener (3/8), while also running a leg on the Vikings' winning 4x400-meter relay that finished in 3:24.81.
2025 INDOOR:
Ranks 8th in the freshman record books in the 600 meters after finishing in 1:29.76 at the Portland Indoor 1 (1/26)...Ran his first 60-meter race at the UW Preview (1/17), finishing in 7.47 seconds...Also shaved nearly a second off his personal best in the 400 meters at the UW Preview, finishing in 54.14 seconds...Set personal best in the 200 (24.25) and 400 (55.05) meters at the Spokane Invitational (12/14)...Made his PSU debut while running the 200 meters in 24.52 seconds at the PSU vs. UP Dual Meet (11/25).
BEFORE PORTLAND STATE:
Attended Clackamas CC from 2021-23…Won a state football championship while competing for Clackamas High School in 2018.

Son of Paris and Sara Bakkum…Has a brother, Bishop Bakkum…Is the first in his family to go to college…Lists snowboarding, surfing and hiking as hobbies/interests…Plans on majoring in biology.
