Laurie Northrop established herself as Portland State’s all-time leading scorer during her career and became the first Viking to compete on winning teams during all four seasons. Northrop finished her career with 1,801 career points and ranks fourth all-time in rebounding as well (764).

After three seasons at the Division I level, Northrop was the first Viking ever named first-team All-American when PSU moved to Division II in 1991. That year, she led the team to a third-place finish in the nation while being named Pacific West Conference Player of the Year and scoring a PSU record 643 points.

Northrop led the team in scoring for three seasons and led in rebounding twice while shooting .516 from the field and .769 at the free-throw line. The Vikings were 81-34 during her career.
