1 - Big Sky Championship Final
WEEKEND RECAP
Portland State made the trek to both Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona last weekend and evened their Big Sky record at 2-2-0 with a pair of losses.
The two losses by the Vikings last weekend mark the first time since 2005 that PSU has lost back-to-back Big Sky Conference contests.
In Greeley, the Viks traded blows with the Bears and eventually trailed 2-1, until
Eryn Brown tied the match to send the contest into overtime. In the 106th minute, Brittany Dunn scored the golden goal for UNC to lift the Bears over the Vikings 3-2.
Kala Renard notched her first goal of conference play early in the second period.
At Northern Arizona, Vikings outshot the Lumberjacks, 8-7, at the half and were both at a standstill, 0-0. The match was nearly a 1-0 Viks lead at the half as defender
Emily Rohde took a shot in the 41st minute that rattled the crossbar.
Then in the 71st minute, the Jacks struck to take a 1-0 lead and increased the lead to 2-0 three minutes later with another goal. The Vikings fell to the two-time defending tournament champion 2-0 and are still winless or drawless in Flagstaff.
ABOUT WEBER STATE
The Wildcats own a 2-13-1 overall record this season and hold a 1-2-1 register in conference play. Shortly after the start of the second, Eastern's Melanie Kitsman scored the game-winner to clinch the Eagles victory over the Wildcats, 2-1.

10 YEARS AFTER
The Portland State Vikings are the defending champions of the Big Sky as they marched their way to a 4-1-2 record last season in conference and allowed a Big Sky low, five goals.
The Vikings will look to become the first team since Montana in 1999-2000 to win back-to-back Big Sky Regular Season Championships.
PSU could become only the third team in Big Sky history to win the conference with two losses. Weber State (2008) and Idaho State (2006) were the previous two.

THE LADIES OF OCTOBER
In 2009, the Vikings went on a 6-2-1 terror, their best record in that month in program history. The record included a 4-1-2 mark in Big Sky play, to claim the conference crown and host the postseason championship.
In her two previous years as Head Coach,
Laura Schott's squads have finished 10-3-4 in the month of October and outscored their opponents 24-12... Take that Reggie Jackson.
Currently, Portland State has outscored its opponents, 9-8, and hold a 2-3-1 record in October 2010.
QUICK COMPARISON '09-'10
Led by the potent scoring threat of Dolly Enneking last season, the Vikings as a team amassed 25 goals in their 20 game register.
So far in their 16 matches this season, the Viks have registered 25 goals, already tied for the second-highest total in the Division I era (1996-present). The 2002 Vikings registered a school-record 45 goals.
BIG SKY'S TOP
Portland State's Head Coach
Laura Schott is the Big Sky's winningest coach over the last two seasons with an 8-2-4 record and a .714 winning percentage. Northern Arizona's Andre Luciano is second with an 8-4-2 record (.643 winning percentage).
SHE'S IN THE 20 CLUB

Laura Schott won her 20th game at the helm of the Vikings. By accomplishing the feat, she became only the third coach in program history to reach the exclusive mark. Tara Erickson and Bernie Fagen both hold the school-record with 29 wins.
LARGE IN THE MARGIN
