FARMINGTON, Utah – The Portland State women's soccer team had six players earn All-Big Sky honors on Tuesday — the program's most selections in more than a decade.
Senior defender Kalo Iongi led the group as a first-team selection, improving on her second-team nod from last season. The Orem, Utah native anchored a Vikings defense that recorded three shutouts in conference play and allowed just five goals across eight Big Sky matches. Iongi played every minute of league action (720 total), tallied 17 shots in the regular season, and scored once in the Vikings' opener at Iowa State. Iongi continued the Vikings' trend of first-team honorees, extending the streak to three straight seasons. Her selection follows teammate Liv Frazier, who earned first-team defender honors in 2024.
Redshirt junior goalkeeper Natalie Cunningham earned her first career all-conference honor with a second team selection, becoming just the fifth goalkeeper in program history to receive first or second team recognition. Cunningham had a standout season in goal, posting 59 saves and three shutouts across 12 appearances. In conference play, she led Big Sky goalkeepers with a .894 save percentage, allowed only five goals for a 0.63 goals-against average and averaged 5.25 saves per game. She is the first Viking goalie to earn all-conference honors since 2015 and the first to receive a second team selection since 2012.
Also earning her first career all-conference honor, sophomore Grace Sarabia was named to the second team. The quick-footed midfielder was a mainstay for the Vikings this season, logging a team-high 1,417 minutes and playing the full 90 in all but one match. Sarabia scored two goals—one in Big Sky play—and ranked third on the team with 23 shots, including 13 against conference opponents.
Rounding out the Vikings' all-conference honorees were three key contributors: forwards Ocean Rideout and Aliayha Saldana and defender Liv Frazier, each earning honorable mention.
Rideout, a senior from Riverside, Calif., and a four-year standout for the Vikings, led Portland State with four goals and 10 points this season, including two goals and two assists in conference play. She averaged 2.25 shots per game against Big Sky opponents, putting 9 of 18 attempts on target, and was the only Viking to record both a goal and an assist in a single match this season, accomplishing the feat in the season finale victory at Sacramento State. Rideout's honorable mention nod was the first of her career.
Saldana's selection was her second all-conference honor of her young career, following a second-team distinction in 2024. The 2024 Big Sky Freshman of the Year scored two goals and added one assist for the Vikings this season, highlighted by an early game-winning goal in PSU's 1-0 victory at Weber State. For the second straight year, Saldana led the Vikings in shots, totaling 33 across 16 matches while averaging 2.25 per game against conference opponents.
Lastly, Frazier earned her second consecutive All-Big Sky accolade in her fourth season with the Vikings. The Rose City native received the recognition despite missing time during conference play due to injury. In five Big Sky appearances, Frazier's defense helped the Vikings record two key shutouts while holding opponents to just three goals total and no more than one goal in any single match.
