Portland State's Women's Golf and Men's Tennis Teams have been named the 2025-26 Big Sky Conference Team Academic Champions for their respective sports by the league. In fact, the Women's Golf program can boast the highest GPA of any program for any school in the Big Sky Conference for the past academic year (3.90).
The Viking Women's Golf Team has now won the Big Sky Academic Team Championship in three of the past four seasons. Five players on this year's team earned Academic All-Big Sky Conference and four were Academic All-District.
The Viking Men's Tennis Team won the team honor for the first time. Seven members of that program were named Academic All-Big Sky Conference and four were Academic All-District as the team compiled a 3.82 team GPA.
As an entire program, Portland State Athletics set a record for student-athlete GPA for the year at 3.44.
