Vikings Return Home to Host Lewis & Clark, Montana

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland State men's tennis continues its busy March slate with a pair of home matches this weekend at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center.

The Vikings (4-9, 1-1) open with a non-conference matchup against Lewis & Clark on Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m., using it as preparation before returning to Big Sky play against Montana on Sunday, March 15 at 10 a.m.

This weekend marks PSU's first time back home since its 4-3 Big Sky-opening win over Montana State on Feb. 28. The Vikings traveled to Arizona last weekend, dropping a pair of matches at Grand Canyon before falling 6-1 to Northern Arizona on Sunday.

Hampus Hagglund accounted for the Vikings' lone point in Flagstaff, earning a three-set win over Daniels Tens at No. 6 singles to improve to 4-5 on the season — tied for the team lead in singles victories.

PSU will look to get back on track in doubles play this weekend, led by freshman duo Ignacio Ruiz and Aarjun Pandit, who carry a team-best 5-4 record at the No. 2 doubles position.

The Vikings have won 14 straight matches against Lewis & Clark and carry a 14-2 lead in the all-time series into Friday's dual. On Sunday, they'll aim for their first win over Montana since 2021, trailing the all-time series against the Griz, 4-17.
