Saturday marks the 10th straight meeting played on the Pilots' home court, as the Vikings continue to seek their first win in the series. Portland leads the all-time series 19-0.
The Pilots (1-1) opened their 2026 season last week with a sweep of Belmont on Friday, Jan. 16, before falling to Oregon, 4-0, on Saturday in Eugene. The Vikings (0-2) also began their season against the Ducks, dropping a 6-1 decision on Thursday and a 4-0 result on Sunday, with both matches played in Eugene.
The Vikings put Oregon to the test on Thursday, nearly claiming the doubles point and earning a singles win on court three from sophomore Maas Schotanus. Schotanus went 2-0 in his Viking debut, securing a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Matthew Burton. In doubles play, he teamed with Edoardo Cravanzola for a 6-4 win at line two. The duo followed with another strong showing in Sunday's rematch, holding a 6-5 lead on the top court before the point was decided.
