PORTLAND – The Portland State women's soccer team will continue a three-game homestand this Friday when they host Cal State Northridge at Hillsboro Stadium (11 am).
The Vikings look to snap a two-game losing streak following losses to Gonzaga and Boise State. They will enter Friday with a 1-3-0 record.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
PSU tied its season-high 16 shots in the loss to Boise State on Sunday. The Vikings fell 4-0 after allowing three goals in the first half. Abi Hoffman and Teà Poore combined for nine of Portland State's 16 shots, five of those coming from Hoffman.
VIKING LEADERSÂ
- Both of Portland State's goals this season have involved sophomore Ani Jensen. She leads the group with three points after recording both a goal and an assist at Western Oregon on Aug 27.
- Freshman Abi Hoffman has a team-high 11 shots and five shots on goal so far this season. She has led the Vikings in shots in the past two contests.
- Redshirt senior defender Liz Hansen has clocked 90 minutes of work in three of the four matches. A workhorse on defense, Hansen leads the Vikings with 352 minutes of action.
- Junior goalkeeper Enya Hernandez has clocked 291 minutes in goal through four games. She enters Friday with 25 saves and a 3.70 Goals against average.Â
- Sophomore transfer Sidney O'Billovich has seen 68 minutes of action over the past two contests, allowing two goals and recording one save
SCOUTING CSUNÂ
The Matadors have faced a tough schedule so far this season, playing two teams in the top 25. They'll enter Friday's match holding a 1-5 record following back-to-back losses to No. 21 Arizona State (4-2) and Arizona (3-2). CSUN has scored seven goals through six games.

The teams last met in 2018 when CSUN earned a 2-1 overtime victory over the Vikings. PSU trails the all-time series 1-6-0, with the program's only victory against the Matadors occurring in 1997.
