Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 EUGENE – The Portland State men's tennis team dropped a pair of dual matches (6-1, 7-0) to the University of Oregon on Saturday in Eugene.
 
The Vikings fall to 0-3 on the season as the Ducks improve to 4-0
 
PSU dropped the first match 6-1, the single point coming from Tommy Hsu who earned his first victory as a Viking at No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-4, 1-0.
 
The Vikings dropped all three doubles matches by a score of 6-3 to begin the day.
 
Coming off a strong performance in the season opener on Friday, Tommy Edwards was defeated by Joshua Charlton 6-1, 6-2 in the number two spot. Similarly, Matteo Fortini was also a victim of a dominant Duck performance falling at No.1 singles 6-2, 6-2.
 
Nikola Dimitrijevic had a strong start in his dual but was unable to hold off Brandon Lam on court three dropping his match 7-5, 6-2.
 
Portland State was defeated in all three doubles matches to begin the second match, unable to bounce back in singles play.
 
After earning the only win for PSU earlier in the day, Hsu gave Oregon's Brandon Lam a run for his money at No. 4 singles but fell short in a tiebreaker 6-1, 6-7 (2-7), 1-0 (10-5).
 
Six consecutive victories by the Ducks in singles play clinched the victory at 7-0.
 
PSU will return to action next Saturday as they host Pacific University at the Babette Horenstein Tennis Center.
