Portland State men's tennis had a program-high four student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Sophomores Edoardo Cravanzola, Maas Schotanus and Luke Lu earned the honor along with junior Hampus Hagglund.
To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, must have competed in at least 75 percent of their team's matches during the 2026 season and must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Of the Vikings' four honorees, three are Finance majors. Lu, who transferred from Seattle U to Portland State ahead of the 2025-26 academic year, earned the honor as a Global Supply Chain Management major. While the minimum cumulative GPA required for selection is 3.50, all four Vikings far exceeded that mark, combining for an impressive 3.93 GPA as a group.
Schotanus, a sophomore from Rotterdam, Netherlands, added to his list of accolades by earning Academic All-District honors after also being named an Honorable Mention All-Big Sky selection in doubles. He finished the season with 12 wins across singles and doubles, winning six in each.Â
Cravanzola, a sophomore from Italy, earned the academic distinction for the first time, posting a 4-12 singles record and a 6-11 doubles mark during the 2025-26 dual season. Also picking up his first career CSC Academic honor was Lu. The Suzhou, China native went 4-4 in singles play and 5-12 in doubles, earning four of five wins at the No. 3 spot.
A junior on the court but a senior academically, Hagglund earned the honor while maintaining a perfect 4.0 collegiate GPA, a mark he carried over from the University of Mount Olive. The Stockholm, Sweden, native went 5-9 in singles and 2-4 in doubles this season, leading the Vikings with five wins at line six.
