Â
Nathan Boniel, Tommy Edwards, Otto Holtari and Avery West all advanced to the round of 16, while Gabe Souza and Majeed Bukhari each won their first match of the day before losing in the round of 32.

Boniel, the top seed in the singles draw, advanced with relative ease, as he only dropped three games while beating Edward Murphy 6-2, 6-1.
Â
Edwards, the third seed in the singles draw, went deeper in his first set against Gunnar Harlan but still won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2, to join Boniel in the round of 16 in the top half of the draw.
Â
West also won in straight sets in the bottom half of the draw, as he dropped only three games while beating Rox Rogers 6-0, 6-3 to advance to the round of 16.
