Portland State Women's Golf student-athletes
Payten Shimizu,
Bayler Brundage,
Cynthia Valerie Ong and
Maddie Dustin have earned Academic All-District honors for 2025-26 as selected by NCAA College Sports Communicators (CSC).
CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in July.
To earn Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a significant contributor to their team while maintaining a 3.50 grade point average or higher.
This group of Vikings meets those standards with ease. All starters on the golf team, Shimizu, Brundage, Ong and Dustin are part of a golf program that maintains a 3.86 team GPA, which ranks as the highest of all teams at Portland State. They also led the Viking team to a fourth-place finish at the Big Sky Conference Championship in April - the best by a Viking team in five seasons - and the third-best team scoring average in school history.
