Vikings Fall to Bengals in Season Finale

BEAVERTON, Ore. — The Portland State men's tennis team closed out its season on Saturday with a 6-1 loss to Idaho State at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center.

The Vikings wrapped up the year with a 4-14 overall record, going 0-8 in Big Sky play. The Bengals improved to 12-10 overall and 6-2 in conference action.

Hayden Elliott earned the lone point for the Vikings, claiming a straight-set win at the No. 6 spot with a 7-6, 6-2 victory over Idaho State's Louie Bouman.

Freshman Luca Prino battled on the top court, taking his match to a super tiebreaker before falling 2-6, 7-6, 1-0 (7) to Victor Sklenka. The Bengals claimed the doubles point and four additional singles wins to seal the team victory.
