PORTLAND – Following eight consecutive non-conference duals the Portland State women's tennis team will return to Big Sky action beginning with a Friday dual at Idaho (1 p.m. PT) followed by a matchup at Eastern Washington on Sunday (11 a.m. PT).
LAST TIME OUT
The Vikings returned to the Pacific Northwest this past Saturday after two weeks on the road. Portland State began its road stint in Southern California where they played four matches over five days. Playing shorthanded for the entirety of the trip the Vikings fell in all four of their matches.
PSU then traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii to take on four more non-conference opponents. The Vikings earned wins against Chaminade University (6-1) and the University of Hawaii at Hilo (4-0) to improve to 7-9 overall on the year.

IDAHO VANDALS
The Vikings got their feet wet against the Vandals in a non-conference dual in just their second match of the season. The Vandals earned a 4-2 victory as Rees (No. 3) and Ramirez (No. 4) secured the only two points for Portland State. Idaho enters Friday's dual holding a 2-6 overall record (0-1 BSC).
EASTERN WASHINGTON
EWU will enter Sunday's dual with a 5-8 overall record and a 1-0 standing in Big Sky action, earning their only victory so far over the Vandals in a close 4-3 decision. EWU has also earned wins against the University of Portland (5-2), Whitworth (7-0), Seattle (5-2), and Lewis and Clark College – Idaho (7-0).
