2021 SEASON (Senior):

Went 7-10 overall in singles and 13-4 in doubles… Recorded a 6-5 record at No. 6 singles and 1-5 mark at No. 5… Went 2-2 in regular season Big Sky solo action… Had a pair of match clinching singles victories against Big Sky opponents in Montana’s Alex Walker 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 (3/14) and Idaho’s Saffron Dowse 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 (4/9)… Earned three two-set singles wins… Earned her most commanding victory of the season 6-0, 6-0 over Chaminade’s Emily Ramirez Miranda at position 5 (3/30)… 13 individual doubles wins ranks second on the team... Earned 12 of her 13 doubles wins at No. 3 with partner Ashley Ramirez… 3-1 in regular season Big Sky doubles action…Won four consecutive doubles matches with Ramirez (3/30-4/9)… Earned wins in six of her final seven doubles appearances… Set a pair of single season program records in doubles play… Individually set the record for win percentage at the No. 3 spot (.764)... Broke the overall doubles team win percentage with Ramirez (.750)… Tied single season team record in win percentage at No. 3 (.750)...  2021 Honorable Mention All-Big Sky doubles selection (w/ Ramirez) marked the first Conference nod of her career.


2019-20 SEASON (Junior):

Went 6-6 in singles and 2-3 in doubles during the season…Went 3-1 at line six during the dual season…Won three straight matches between Jan. 25 and Feb. 22…Beat Taryn Fujimori from the University of Oregon 6-2, 6-2 at line six on Jan. 25…Came back from a set down to beat South Dakota’s Eesha Varma 3-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-8) at line six as part of the Vikings’ 6-1 victory over the Coyotes (1/31)…Dropped only one game while beating Whitman College’s Irene Tsai 6-0, 6-1 on Feb. 22.


2018-19 SEASON (Sophomore):

Went 2-6 in singles and 2-4 in doubles, winning one conference match in each … Opened her season winning two of her first three appearances … Beat Montana’s Claudia Reguant 7-5, 6-2 at No. 6 singles (2/17) … Won against Montana State’s Zander/Iverson 6-3 at No. 3 doubles (2/6, w/ Meszaros) … Went 2-9 in singles and 3-7 in doubles during the fall season…Reached the quarterfinal of the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament ... defeated Mathilde Lirzin of Grand Canyon 6-1, 6-2 in the quarterfinal ... defeated Hannah Ketcherside of Pacific at the ITA Northwest Regional 6-4, 6-2 ... reached the final of the PNW Grass Court Championship doubles draw, losing to Jacinta Milenkoski and Taylor Rees 0-6 ... went unbeaten during round robin at the PNW Grass Court Championship ... defeated Jadulang/Valnezuela of Cal State Fullerton 7-6 (5) at the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament ... Appeared in eight matches in 2019, winning two singles matches at No. 6 ... Defeated Claudia Reguant of Montana 7-5, 6-2 for a conference win ... Went 2-4 in doubles, going 2-3 at No. 3.


2017-18 SEASON (Freshman):

Only dropped one game while beating South Dakota’s Luana Stanciu 6-1, 6-0 at line four on Jan. 21...Went 3-7 in singles and 2-7 in doubles during the fall season…Won three straight matches to win the consolation singles title in the Yellow Singles Flight at the WC Fall Invite (10/14-15).


JUNIOR CAREER:

Two-time doubles finalist at the Latvian Championships…Also placed third in doubles at the Latvian Championships…Placed third in doubles at the Latvian Summer Olympics.


PERSONAL/MISCELLANEOUS:

Daughter of Gunita and Gundars Upenieki…Father, Gundars, participated in four straight Winter Olympics from 1992-2002…Has a sister, Guntra Upeniece…Lists art, acting, skiing and making others smile as hobbies/interests…Plans on majoring in business administration: management and leadership
