Former Viking basketball player Brandon Hollins has signed with Aragatz of the Armenian A League in Europe. Hollins played for Portland State from 2016-18. As a senior, he averaged 9.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Hollins becomes the third member of last year's Viking squad to sign professionally in Europe. Bryce Canda (11.9 ppg, 5.3 rpg) is playing for Kralovsto sokoli in the Czech Republic. Ryan Edwards (12.2 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.3 bpg) is playing for Valls Nutrion of the Spanish EBA.
Hollins, a 6-6 forward from St. Louis, played in his first game for Aragatz on Tuesday, scoring 12 points and grabbing five rebounds. Hollins had also been drafted in the second round by the Grand Rapids Drive of the G-League last fall.
"I'm proud of Brandon and his efforts to make it to the next level as well as the others guys. They are great representatives of Portland State basketball and what we are all about," said Viking Coach Basketball Coach Barret Peery.
