SPOKANE, Wash. – Kayla Standish scored 25 points to lead five Gonzaga players in double-figures and the Bulldogs shot almost 60 percent from the floor in a 99-69 victory over visiting Portland State on Sunday afternoon.

Portland State (2-3) found themselves down 16-4 just over four minutes into the game and never could recover from their slow start. They shot 36.2 percent in losing their third straight, all of which have come on the road.

The play of Kate Lanz was one of the few bright spots for the Vikings. The sophomore transfer scored 21 points on 8 of 12 shooting, while also making all five of her free throw attempts. Lanz has now led the Vikings in scoring in two of the three games she has played after missing the first two due to a hand injury.

Courtney VanBrocklin added 16 points and Eryn Jones 11. Karley Lampman pulled down a career nine boards, including six on the offensive end for Portland State.

Katelan Redmon scored 22 points for the Bulldogs, who improved to 3-1. Redmon (10 of 12) and Standish (9 of 13) combined to shoot 19 of 25 from the field.

Portland State is off for almost a week before hosting Nevada on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m.

NOTES: Gonzaga shot 59.7 percent (40 of 67) in the game, but made just 1 of 11 three-pointers ... the Vikings shot 88.9 percent (16 of 18) at the line, while Gonzaga shot 90% (18 of 20) ... the 99 points were the lost given up by PSU since 102-92 overtime loss to Utah Valley on Dec. 29, 2008.
