FARMINGTON, Utah – Freshman Portland State men's tennis player
Aarjun Pandit was named the Big Sky Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday.
In his first career conference match, Pandit helped lead the Vikings to their first win over Montana State since 2021—and their first conference win since 2024. He opened the day with a victory at No. 2 doubles alongside Ignacio Ruiz, defeating Camille Chantron and Eddie Biss, 6-4, to help secure the opening point for PSU. He followed with a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, topping MSU's Andrew Stewart, 6-1, 6-4.
Saturday's singles victory marked Pandit's fourth straight win at line one as he improved to 4-2 overall in singles.
The honor is the first of Pandit's career and Portland State's first since 2021. He also becomes the first freshman in program history to earn the award.
