FARMINGTON, Utah - For the second consecutive year, the Portland State women's tennis team was named the 2024-25 Big Sky Conference Team Academic Championship for its sport.
All six members of the Viking team earned academic All-Big Sky Conference honors this past spring, while finishing the academic year with a department-best 3.77 cumulative GPA.
Scarlett Perkins and
Nika Beukers were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for maintaining GPA's above 3.5. Additionally, Beukers was named Portland State's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year last month.
The overall student-athlete GPA for the Portland State athletic department in 2024–25 was 3.37 — the highest on record outside of the COVID-era grading policies.
