MOSCOW, Idaho – The Portland State women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to Idaho on Sunday afternoon at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.

The loss dropped Portland State to 2-6-2 overall and 0-1-1 in Big Sky action, while Idaho improved to 8-3-1 and 2-0-0 in conference play.

Despite being shut out, the Vikings outshot the Vandals 14-10, putting five shots on goal, but were unable to find the back of the net. The teams combined for just three corner kicks, with two awarded to the Vikings.

Idaho opened the scoring in the 33rd minute. The Vikings came out of halftime with a flurry of shots, but it was the Vandals who struck again in the 66th minute to double their lead. Just over six minutes later, Idaho scored their third goal, securing a 3-0 advantage in the 73rd minute. The Vandals' defense held the Vikings to just two shot attempts in the final 17 minutes of action as they completed the shutout victory.

Eden Millan played the full 90 minutes in goal for PSU, tallying five saves.
Aliayha Saldana led the Vikings in shots for the second straight match, recording five and putting two on target.

Portland State will return home for a pair of conference matchups at Hillsboro Stadium. They will face Weber State on Friday, Oct. 4, and Idaho State on Sunday, Oct. 6. Both matches are slated for 1:00 p.m.
