Hana Abdelhamid Signs With Vikings

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland State women's tennis head coach Kyle Russell has announced the signing of Hana Abdelhamid, the first member of the Vikings' incoming 2024 freshman class.
 
"Hana has a love for tennis and really life in general that will be infectious on our team," Russell said. "She is highly motivated to prove herself and will be a joy to work with. She has an athletic background that will only help her tennis. She definitely fits into what we look for in our players, on and off the court."
 
Hailing from Smouha, Alexandria, Egypt Abdelhamid brings with her an impressive junior career, highlighted by numerous championship titles. She has won u18 championships in both singles and doubles and an ITA J60 doubles title. Additionally, Abdelhamid has secured a top 10 women's Egyptian tennis ranking as well as a top 3 placement in the U18 Egyptian rankings.
 
Abdelhamid will graduate from Future Language School in 2024 and plans to major in business management and leadership at Portland State.
