Women's Tennis Signs Capucine Sanoner for 2020-21 Season

PORTLAND – Head Coach Kyle Russell announced the addition of Capucine Sanoner to the Portland State women's tennis team, bringing in his first recruit for the 2020-21 season.

Sanoner comes to Portland State from Marcq-en-Baroeul, France where she will graduate from CNED in the spring of 2020. During her junior career, Sanoner was a French vice-champion in doubles while playing in the U16 circuit. While competing for her club team, she earned a French rating of (-2/6).

"Capucine is everything I was looking for in a recruit and I can't wait for her to join us next year," said Russel. "She fits in very well with our team in that she is very nice, yet very ambitious. She will have an immediate impact on the court and her game is perfectly suited for indoor tennis, where we spend most of our time. I love our team dynamic here and Capucine will be a valuable contributor to that come fall. We're very excited to have her.  GO VIKS!"

Entering PSU as a freshman, Sanoner plans to major in Business Administration with a minor in Climate Change Science.
