Tre-Vaughn Minott pulled off a rare feat last Saturday in the Vikings' 96-69 win over Sacramento State, posting the first 20-20 game by a Viking in 10 seasons. As a result, Minott has been named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week.

Minott, a 6-10 senior from Montreal, had 23 points, 20 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Vikings in their rout of the Hornets. He made 9-11 field goals and 5-7 free throws in the game. His 20 rebounds matched the most by a PSU player in 30 seasons as a member of the Big Sky Conference.

PSU's win kept it in first place alone at 3-0 after two weeks of the Big Sky schedule. The Vikings are 9-5 overall.

Minott has been a major force in the team's success, averaging 11.3 points, 9.2 rebounds and shooting .617 from the field. He also leads the team with 16 blocked shots. Minott leads the Big Sky in rebounding, ranks second in blocks, and is second in double-doubles (5). In conference games, Minott averages 14.7 points, 14.7 rebounds., 3.0 blocks and shoots .727.

This is Minott's first Big Sky Player of the Week honor in his career. It comes one week after teammate
Jaylin Henderson was named Player of the Week. Minott was the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season and selected Preseason All-Big Sky Conference this season.

Portland State continues its home stand this week, hosting Northern Colorado on Thursday night at 7 p.m. followed by Northern Arizona on Saturday at 2 p.m. Both games are at Viking Pavilion can also be seen on ESPN+.
