PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland State volleyball coaching staff now features three alumni -- two former players in assistant coaches Diana Villalpando and Pati Anae, and one general alum in head coach Michael Seemann. So, you know an invitation to an alumni weekend comes from the heart from those three. To that end, the Viking Volleyball program will host its alumni weekend during its opening tournament of the season, the Rose City Showdown presented by Hotel Vance, Aug. 30 to Sept. 1.

The Vikings play San Francisco and Cal at 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 and 31, respectively. They'll close out the tournament against Nevada at 1 p.m. on Sept. 1. All matches will be played at Viking Pavilion. Alumni will be recognized and presented t-shirts on the floor prior to the Vikings' match against Cal on Saturday, Aug. 31.
