A native of the state of Oregon, Tannica Porter is returning home to play collegiately as she has signed a grant-in-aid agreement with the Portland State Women's Golf Program. She is first-year Head Coach Bill Winter's second signee for the 2022-23 academic year.
 
Porter, who is from Eugene and attended Willamette High School, competed at Dixie State in Utah during the 2020-21 academic year and the fall of 2021. She compiled a 79.79 scoring average in the spring as a true freshman, tying for 38^th at the Western Athletic Conference Championship. Porter also earned Academic All-Western Athletic Conference honors. In three events during the fall, Porter improved her scoring average to 76.11, including a fourth-place finish at the Weber State Kelsey Chugg Invitational.
 
"I am very pleased with the addition of Tannica Porter to our golf team. She is exactly what the PSU golf program is looking for," said Coach Bill Winter. "I'm looking forward to her arrival on campus this fall."
 
PSU opens its spring season next week at the Mountain Classic Matchplay.
