Maser, Huang Pace Vikings On Final Day At The Clash At Boulder Creek

Boulder City, NV – Portland State seniors McKenna Maser and Windy Huang came away with the team's top performances at The Clash At Boulder Creek as the tournament concluded on Tuesday.
 
Maser put together a consistent round with one birdie and three bogeys for a team-best round of 74. That matched her best single-round score ever as a Viking.
 
Huang wrapped up play as the top Viking finisher, tying for 28th among 102 players. She posted 72-77-75=224. It was her best tournament score since the 2018-19 season.
 
UNLV won the tournament with an even-par 297-287-280=864 total. The Rebels took a 16-shot win over their nearest competitor, Fresno State, which finished at 880. Portland State took 18th place in the tournament with team scores of 308-324-310=942.
 
Veronica Joels of UNLV took the individual title with a five-under par 70-69-72=211. She beat Utah Valley's Victoria Estrada by one stroke. Estrada shot 69-71-72=212.
 
Maser was the Vikings' number-two finisher overall. She tied for 68th at 81-79-74=234.
 
Sophomore Mariana Garcia Rosette tied for 90th at 75-86-81=242. Katie Harris, also a sophomore, shot 80-84-80=244 and tied for 96th. Mari Nakamura, a freshman, posted 86-84-90=260.
