Windy Huang Posts Final-Round 73 As Vikings Shoot Best Score Of Tourney

Tacoma, WA – The Portland State Vikings shot their best round of the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational as senior Windy Huang posted her best score so far this fall. Huang, a senior, shot a one-over par 73 on Tuesday, climbing 23 spots on the leaderboard, while the Vikings had a team score of 307.
 
PSU finished the tournament in 16th place among 20 teams with 312-312-307=931. The Vikings were fourth among the six Big Sky Conference teams competing at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
 
Seattle University won its own event, shooting 287-295-303=885. Santa Clara was second, four shots behind at 297-294-298=889.
 
Rivekka Jumagulova took a four-shot win with her four-under par 68 in the final round of the 54-hole event. Jumagulova posted 70-73-68=211 to finish at five-under par.
 
Huang started the day in a tie for 57th, but she jumped 23 spots on the leaderboard to a tie for 34th. Her 81-75-73=229 was her best tournament score of the three played so far this fall.
 
Sophomore Katie Harris was one shot behind Huang, finishing her tournament with 72-81-77=230. Harris tied for 40th among 110 players competing.
 
Sophomore Mariana Garcia Rosette moved up nine spots on the final day. She completed the 54 holes with 83-78-77=238 to tie for 73rd. Senior McKenna Maser placed in a tie for 98th carding 77-88-80=245
 
Freshman Mari Nakamura came in at 82-78-a91=251 to place 108th.
