On May 28, PSU Athletics will launch Together Viks — presented by Evergreen Gavekal - a first-ever online auction and fundraiser to support student-athletes and teams.
 
Dealing with a pandemic has created challenging times for all, as well as eliminated many events and activities that are always highly anticipated. One of those events for Portland State Athletics is the annual Night of Wine and Roses, which generates significant scholarship dollars for Viking student-athletes. 
 
This year's edition of Wine and Roses had to be cancelled for obvious reasons. However, PSU has created a virtual auction in place of the event to help offset some of the financial losses from the cancellation.
 
The Together Viks Auction will kick off on May 28 for an 11-day period. It is aimed at all levels of athletics fans and donors allowing them to help mitigate the financial challenges the program is now facing due to the impact of COVID-19. The live fundraising site featuring auction packages will be revealed the week of May 25.
 
The campaign will include the personal stories, goals, aspirations and gratitude of student-athletes and coaches. The live online auction will include individual items and packages curated by Portland State Athletics. There will also be a "Paddles Up" telephone campaign during which student-athletes and coaching staff directly contact specific members of the Viking community.
