Complete Release In PDF Format

FIRST PITCH

Portland State heads south to Corvallis Tuesday for a midweek non-conference match up with the Oregon State Beavers. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. PT.
The Vikings and Beavers have a home-and-home scheduled this season with the teams playing a single-game in Corvallis Tuesday. Oregon State will pay a return visit to the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex in Hillsboro on May 3.
Portland State is coming off a disappointing Big Sky Conference weekend. The Vikings dropped all three games to the Weber State Wildcats, suffering first series sweep of the season. Weber State outscored Portland State 36-4 over the three games and out-hit the Vikings .513-to-.273.
One bright note out of the weekend was the play of senior IF Celena Carrisosa. She led the Vikings with a .571 average, going 4-for-7 with a run scored. She also played error-less defense at second base.

SERIES WIN
Portland State picked up its first Big Sky series win of the season, taking 2-of-3 from the Northern Colorado Bears at home last weekend.
