The Broncos didn't waste anytime getting on the scoreboard, plating a pair of runs in the top of the first on Christina Capobianco's single back up the middle after Viking pitcher

Down to their final two outs, the Vikings rallied to send the game into extra innings, benefiting from a two-base throwing error by the Broncos.

Danai Martin then got caught leaning off first base, but the throw from Boise State catcher Katie Engelbrecht sailed into right field, allowing Martin to scoot over to third.
Sadie Lopez followed by grounding out to the pitcher, but Martin raced home on the play and was able to slide around the tag of Engelbrecht.
The game went to the international tie-breaker rule in the eighth with a runner being placed at second to start the inning. Boise State was able to capitalize in their half of the frame after Engelbrecht moved to third on a sac bunt, then scored on Glover's base hit to left field.
