Portland State Men's Basketball Coach
Jase Coburn has announced the signing of Jaquay Randolph for the 2026-27 season.
Â
Randolph comes off a spectacular year at Southern Wesleyan University where he was named first team All-Carolinas Conference and to the league All-Defensive Team, as well as All-Southeast Region. Randolph averaged 20.8 points, 15.4 rebounds and shot .610 from the field. He led the nation in rebounding and double-doubles (25) at the NCAA II level. He also shot .359 from three-point range, .707 at the line (with 300 attempts in 29 games), blocked 30 shots and made 25 steals. Randolph had a school-record 49 points in one game and grabbed 27 rebounds in another game.
Â
"We are really excited to have Jaquay join our program," said Coburn. "He comes from a great family that has instilled hard work in his life. Through his work ethic and dedication, he has turned himself into an outstanding player.
Â
"Jaquay's talent and ability are off the charts and his best basketball is ahead of him. He can score in a variety of different ways and he is also an elite rebounder. Combined with his talent and skill level, he plays with a great motor that fits Portland State. We are looking forward to helping him achieve his goals and aspirations."
Â
Randolph is from Tallahassee, FL where he attended Maclay school. He spent two seasons at NAIA Southeastern University before transferring to Southern Wesleyan last year.
Â
Randolph joins a Portland State program that won the Big Sky Conference regular season championship in 2025-26 (20-11/13-5) and is led by Big Sky Coach of the Year
Jase Coburn.Â
