Portland State Athletics Expands Partnership with Rose City SportsNet™, Adding 10 Basketball Broadcasts

PORTLAND, Ore. (October 30, 2026) – Portland State Athletics and Rose City SportsNet™ (RCSN) are expanding their broadcast partnership, bringing 10 Portland State basketball games - five men's and five women's - to viewers free over the air across the Portland television market during the 2026-27 season.

All five Portland State home football games have either aired or will air on the network this fall. The selected basketball games will bring the total Portland State games on the network to 15.

The broadcasts will be available free over-the-air for anyone in the Portland Designated Market Area (DMA). That will bring both Portland State basketball teams in front of an audience of over one million television households that stretches into Salem, Portland, Vancouver and other surrounding areas.

Basketball is at the root of Rose City SportsNet, as the official broadcast home of the Portland Fire. The network has delivered premium live games, studio coverage and original programming for the Fire, Portland Thorns and other local teams including the Vikings. The network is a collaboration between Gray Media/KPTV and RAJ Sports, the ownership group of the Fire and Thorns.

"Rose City SportsNet was created on the belief that local sports belong to the entire community," said Corey Hanson, Regional Vice President and General Manager of RCSN / KPTV. "By bringing Portland State basketball to over one million homes alongside our football coverage, we're deepening our investment in local collegiate athletics and making high-caliber, hometown competition accessible to every fan across the region, free and over the air."

Fans can watch RCSN in the Portland DMA free with an antenna on Channel 49.1, or on cable on Channel 13, one channel up from FOX 12 (713 in HD). All Portland State home games will also be available through ESPN+.
