Vikings Sweep USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors for Seventh Straight Season

FULL LIST OF HONOREES

NEW ORLEANS –
July traditions: fireworks, barbecue, time at the pool…and the Portland State track & field program sweeping the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors. The Vikings' men's and women's track & field programs swept the honor for a seventh straight season Monday.

Both programs earned the team honor while finishing the 2024-25 academic year with above a 3.33 GPA. The Viking men finished the year with a 3.379 GPA while the women finished at 3.449. That put them both well clear of the minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) required to qualify for the award.

The Vikings have now swept the award every year since 2019. The Viking women were also honored from 2006-08 and 2014-16, while the men earned their first honor in 2016.

In addition to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honor, the Vikings had 31 athletes (19 men, 12 women) earn Academic All-Big Sky honors following the spring outdoor season, after 28 athletes (16 men, 12 women) earned the honor following the winter indoor season.
