Viking Men, Women Sweep All-Academic Honors for Eighth Straight Year; Emma Stolte First Individual Honoree since 2023

The Portland State track & field program closed out the awards circuit from its 2025-26 season Monday with its eighth straight sweep of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors. Additionally, Emma Stolte became the first Viking since 2023 to earn USTFCCCA All-Academic individual honors.

The team sweep came as the Viking men's and women's teams finished the 2025-26 school year with GPAs of 3.33 and 3.58, respectively. It's the sixth straight year both teams finished with at least a 3.3 GPA, which is well above the minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) required to qualify for the award.

The Vikings have now swept the award every year since 2019. The Viking women were also honored from 2006-08 and 2014-16, while the men earned their first honor in 2016.

Stolte earned the first individual honors of her career. Individual recipients need to have at least a 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale while also hitting athletic requirements. Stolte qualified athletically as an NCAA West First Round qualifier in the 1,500 meters, while her 4.0 GPA in Public Health Studies put her well clear academically.
