PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland State Athletic Director Matt Billings announced a new direction for the Vikings' cross country and track & field programs Monday.
 
Jonathan Marcus, who had served as head coach of the Vikings' cross country and track & field programs since July 2023, has been relieved of his duties. Megan Wagenaar will take over as interim head coach until a new permanent head coach is announced.
 
The head coaching search will begin immediately.
