BEAVERTON, Ore. - The Portland State men's tennis team completed an undefeated weekend with a dominant 7-0 sweep of Linfield on Sunday at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center.

The Vikings have now won three of their last four, improving to 4-5 on the season with their win on Sunday. The Wildcats fell to 0-2.

After dropping the doubles point to George Fox yesterday, the Vikings redeemed themselves against the Wildcats, claiming two matches with scores of 6-3 to take a 1-0 lead. Simon Kuszynski and Edoardo Cravanzola defeated Brooks Lerfald and Rogue Stone at No. 2, while Hayden Elliott and Andrin Zuellig topped Cameron Paulsen and Matous Young at No. 1.

The Vikings built on their strong doubles performance with a dominant sweep in singles action. Luca Prino set the tone with a quick 6-1, 6-2 victory over Brooks Lerfald at No. 1. Kuszynski followed suit, rolling past Matous Young 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6, while Cravanzola delivered a commanding 6-2, 6-0 win against Alexander Rosenquist at No. 3. Hubert Theriault continued the momentum, finishing off Rogue Stone at No. 2 with a score of 6-1, 6-3, before Zuellig secured his second victory of the season, winning 6-2, 6-2 over Abhi Acharya at No. 5. Elliott completed the Vikings' sweep at No. 4, battling back from a first-set loss to defeat Cameron Paulsen 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8).

After a busy start to their season, the Vikings will take a break next weekend before returning for a Big Sky matchup against Northern Arizona on Saturday, March 1, at the Tualatin Hills Tennis Center.
