PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland State Athletics announced a collaboration with Influxer Tuesday that will expand the opportunities available to Viking student-athletes to profit off their name, image and likeness (NIL).
 
Under the collaboration, Portland State student-athletes will have the opportunity to create officially licensed, personalized merchandise that will be sold online via individual pages on the Influxer website. Merchandise available includes jerseys, hoodies, long- and short-sleeved t-shirts, gold chains, tumblers and more.
 
The opportunity is available to student-athletes from all 15 Portland State varsity sports. Interested student-athletes may sign up online or via the Influxer Mobile App.
 
"Influxer has become one of the top merchandise providers in the NIL space. Their commitment to serving student-athletes and helping them build their personal brand is what drew us to them as one of our NIL collaborators. We look forward to seeing more Portland State gear out there at home events this fall," Portland State Assistant Media Relations Director Andy Jobanek said.
 
In addition to hosting the online stores for each Portland State student-athlete, Influxer oversees all fulfillment and customer service for any purchase. Influxer will also collaborate with Portland State student-athletes on creative elements and marketing.

NIL is not simply transactional, but an opportunity which Influxer wants to further into the development process for their student-athletes," Influxer Vice President Keith Miller.
 
Influxer is partnered with more than 300 universities, including fellow Big Sky Conference schools Eastern Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado and Weber State.
 
Portland State's collaboration with Influxer follows earlier efforts by the athletic department to support its student-athletes in the NIL space. The Vikings launched The Shipyard Exchange, the official NIL marketplace for Portland State athletics, last fall through an expanded partnership with INFLCR.
