FARMINGTON, Utah — The best announcement during the WNBA All-Star break came from the Big Sky Conference Thursday morning as the league released its 2024-25 women's basketball conference schedules.
Â
This year's conference schedule will run from the first weekend in January to the first weekend in March and follow the same 18-game, double-round-robin format as the past two seasons. There will be no interruption for the Big Sky-Summit Challenge like last year, with teams instead shifting into conference play completely once it begins.
For the Vikings, conference action opens with a home-heavy stretch that will see them play seven of their first 11 conference games at Viking Pavilion. That stretch starts with a home game against Sacramento State on Jan. 4. The Vikings hit the road for games at Eastern Washington (Jan. 9) and Idaho (Jan. 11) the next weekend, before returning home for games against Northern Colorado (Jan. 16) and Northern Arizona (Jan. 18).
Â
Two road games at Weber State (Jan. 23) and Idaho State (Jan. 25) come the following week, before the Vikings are home for four straight. The four-game home stand begins against Montana (Jan. 30) and Montana State (Feb. 1), while Idaho (Feb. 6) and Eastern Washington (Feb. 8) come into Viking Pavilion the week after.
Â
The challenge will then be for the Vikings to finish strong as they play five of their final seven conference games on the road. The road-heavy finish begins at Northern Arizona (Feb. 13) and Northern Colorado (Feb. 15). The Vikings play their final home games of the regular season the following week against Idaho State (Feb. 20) and Weber State (Feb. 22). The regular season then concludes with three games over a five-day stretch on the road as the Vikings travel to Montana State (Feb. 27), Montana (March 1) and Sacramento State (March 3).
Â
The Big Sky Tournament will open the following week and will follow the same schedule and bracket as the past two seasons. First-round games will be played on March 8, while the championship is scheduled for March 12.

More information regarding non-conference games and ticket sales will be announced on GoViks.com at a later date.
