Portland State Athletics will host the annual Spring Football Game this Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium, presented by The US Army.
 
Warm-ups will begin at 11 a.m. At 11:20 a.m. there will be a "Mouse Davis Moment" as all five Viking quarterbacks will get six passing plays in a 7-on-7 "Skelly" drill. That will be followed by a full 60-play scrimmage in an offense vs. defense format. Admission is free.
 
The Spring Game is the culmination of the 15-practice spring session for Viking Football. PSU is returning 51 letterwinners from the 2023 season, including six starters on offense and eight on defense. The Vikings also have 27 redshirts returning, several of whom saw game action last season. The Vikings signed a 27-man recruiting class and have also added through the NCAA portal. Ten new student-athletes - either signees, walk-ons or portal transfers - have competed in spring football.
 
Following the game, the football program will be attending Portland State's softball game with Northern Colorado. The Vikings and Bears are tied for first-place and will be playing the final game of a three-game series at Hillsboro with the first pitch at 2 p.m. It will also be Senior Day for Viking Softball.
 
Portland State Football season tickets will be on sale at the Spring Game. The Vikings host five home games in 2024, including South Dakota (Sept. 14), UC Davis (Oct. 5), Montana State (Oct. 19), Idaho (Nov. 9) and Northern Colorado (Nov. 23).
