LEWISTON, Idaho – Despite two singles wins, the Portland State men's tennis team dropped its second to last regular season match on the road to the defending Big Sky Champions Idaho, 5-2 at the LCSC Tennis Center. The Vikings fell to 6-13 overall and 1-5 in conference play. The Vandals improved to 11-8 overall and 4-2 in Big Sky action.
Idaho got off to a solid start in doubles play, taking the first two matches to claim the opening point.
Andrea Brignacca and
Simon Kuszynski's match at No. 2 doubles were tied with Francisco Gay and Taiyo Kurata 5-5 when their match was abandoned.
Kuszynski and
Gregory Gruenig were the two Vikings to earn victories in singles action. Kuszynski picked up his first-career No. 4 singles win over Matteo Masala 6-3, 6-2 to open the scoring for PSU. On court six, Gruenig fought his way to a 6-4, 7-6 (4) win over Mario Duron.

Portland State will close out the regular season at Eastern Washington tomorrow (Saturday, April 22) at 11 a.m.Â
