BEAVERTON, Ore - The Portland State men's tennis team fought until the very end of Saturday's match against Weber State but fell short of the victory, dropping the Big Sky dual 4-3 to the Wildcats. The Vikings moved to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in Big Sky play while the Wildcats jumped to 7-5 and 1-0 in conference action.

The Wildcats edged the Vikings in doubles action, pulling off three-straight wins to clinch the opening point.

Playing at the top two spots, Andrea Brignacca and Jan Semerak kept the Vikings alive with two wins in singles action, before Simon Kuszynski battled his way to a three-set win on court six. Brignacca defeated Sebastian Buxman 7-5, 6-4 while Jan Semerak made quick work of Conner Krueger, 6-2, 6-3 at court two. The Wildcats claimed the dual after recording three singles wins.
