PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland State women's soccer team will conclude its season-opening home stand this week with a pair of matches at Hillsboro Stadium. The Vikings will take on UC Riverside on Thursday, Aug. 25 (1:05 p.m.) and South Dakota on Sunday, Aug. 28 (12:05 p.m.).
Admission is free for all fans. The Viking's match against UC Riverside will be broadcast on ESPN+.Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Vikings enter Thursday at 1-1 overall. After falling 4-0 to San Francisco in the season opener, PSU redeemed itself with a 4-1 win over Western Oregon on Sunday (Aug. 21). The Vikings recorded 11 shots against WOU, cashing in on all three of their shots on goal. Abi Hoffman went 2-for-2 on penalty kicks, notching her first brace of the season, while Ocean Rideout netted the first goal of her collegiate career in the win. The Viking's back line buckled down in the final 45 minutes, holding WOU to just three shots after allowing nine in the first half.
