Logan Riggenbach Lands First Career Big Sky Player of the Week Honor

FARMINGTON, Utah - Portland State softball's Logan Riggenbach was named Big Sky Player of the Week after hitting .714 over four games, the conference announced on Tuesday.

It's Riggenbach's first weekly honor as she led the Vikings to a 3-1 record and their first conference series victory of the season.

Last Wednesday, Riggenbach began her stellar performance against Warner Pacific, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs.

Her hot streak continued into the Big Sky opener against Montana, going 8-for-11 (.727) over three games while tallying a team-high four RBIs. The sophomore outfielder knocked three doubles and two home runs, including the game-winner in the top of the ninth of the Viking's 3-2 game one victory.

With six extra-base hits, including three home runs and eight RBIs over four games, Riggenbach now leads the Vikings with a .354 average as they head into their second weekend of conference action at Sacramento State on Friday.
