BOISE – The Portland State men's tennis team fell to Boise State 5-0 on Thursday.

The loss drops the Vikings to 7-8 on the year while they remain 3-0 in conference action.

The Vikings fell behind early after dropping a pair of matches in doubles action. Bryan Husin and Nikola Dimitrijevic were defeated by their Bronco opponents 6-1 at the No. 2 spot while Nils Plutat and Oliver Richards dropped a 6-3 decision at line three. 

The Broncos continued their momentum into singles play as they picked up four straight victories to claim the match at 5-0. Although their matches went unfinished, Tommy Edwards battled in the two spot as he trailed 7-6 (7-5), 2-0 at the end of the match. Nils Plutat found himself in a similar situation as he trailed 7-5 before the dual-ended. 

The Vikings will return to action on Saturday as they face Idaho their final Big Sky opponent of the regular season in Moscow.
