PORTLAND- Matteo Fortini of Portland State men's tennis earned Big Sky Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Tuesday.
 
The junior earned two victories in the Vikings' 6-1 win over Montana State on Saturday. The Correggio, Italy native began the day cruising to a 6-0 victory at No. 1 doubles alongside partner Tommy Edwards.
 
In singles play, Fortini earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Nejc SItar at the No. 1 spot to close out his day.
 
This is the second Big Sky weekly honor of Fortini's career, earning his first one in 2019.
