POCATELLO, Idaho - The Portland State women's soccer team fell to Idaho State 2-0 on Friday night.
The loss drops the Vikings to 4-8-1 overall and 2-3-1 in conference action. The Bengals improve to 2-13-1 on the year and 2-4-0 in Big Sky play.
Portland State fired off 17 shots, putting eight on goal but were unable to find the net during 90 minutes of action.
Idaho State netted both of its goals in the first half. Taylin Butterbaugh struck first for the Bengals in the 29th minute scoring off an assist from Kaylyn Buchanan.
The Bengals added to their lead with just over a minute left in the half, securing a 2-0 advantage in the 43rd minute following a corner kick.
The Viking defense held the Bengals scoreless in the second half while recording six shots.

Sidney O'billovich had a career high 11 saves, facing 19 Bengal shots.
The Vikings will return to action on Sunday at Weber State in their final road matchup of the regular season at noon PT on ESPN+.
